Tour of Mdina, cliffs of Dingli and gardens of St Anton.

Mdina is the ancient medieval capital of the island of Malta. Today it is known as “the city of silence”. It seems taken out of a storybook and not in vain, many great productions such as “Gladiator”, “Agora” or “Game of Thrones” have been shot in its streets.

It is only necessary to rest your elbows on its high walls and almost as a bird’s eye view we can observe practically the whole of the island. Thus we managed to enter the shoes of the sentries who from that very point guarded the seas and their shores looking for the enemy. We will walk its streets and corners, discovering its history and its medieval architecture.

We will also visit Dingli Cliffs, the highest point of the island and one of the most majestic panoramic views that our archipelago offers, to also appreciate the beauty of Maltese nature, its sea and its rural areas.

We will close the day visiting the Gardens of San Antón. Planted in the eighteenth century under the direction of the Grand Master of the Order of St. John Antoine de Paule, surrounding his residence, an impressive palace of the same era that we will see from the outside since today is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Malta.

Grand Master De Paule invited official visits to Malta to plant in this garden a tree from his country in memory of the visit. It became tradition and almost every tree in this garden has its own history.

We recommend you take a look at the full-day tour, with which you will see everything described and much more.
