If you have already decided that Malta is your next destination, here you have some basic information. Furthermore you may go around our website to see more detailed information according to your needs and interests.

-In Malta it is normal to drink bottled water. It is not that the tap water is not drinkable, but if it has a lot of minerals that in the long run are not highly recommended, that is why it is common to drink bottled water, which tends to be very cheap.

-The weather in Malta is excellent if you like the heat and do not mind the humidity. Temperatures rarely drop below 10°C or rise below 40°C, although with humidity, sometimes reaching 90%, it may appear to be much colder or warmer that it actually is. It is also true that Malta is very windy. In general the weather is excellent for holidays, you only have to be consistent: if you want beach, June, July and August are the best months, but if you come to see our excellent culture we advise any other month, especially March, April, May, September, October, November and even December, since temperatures are better to walk, move and spend the day outside.

Malta is a perfect destination for the whole year. The hardest months are January and February, especially because of the typical Mediterranean rains, short but intense. It is still normal that between November and March there are many sunny days and, unless you are very unlucky, if you come a week it is normal that you have 4 or 5 days of very good weather, making Malta a highly recommended economic destination during the winter. To give you an idea, Malta says that the last 12 days of the year tell us what the months of the following year are going to be like. That means that december 25th (fun, fun fun), corresponds to May, which usually assures us a beach Christmas Day.

-Malta has two official languages: Maltese and English, but more than 70% of the population also speaks Italian. English is spoken all over the island.

Malta is an excellent destination for learning English, as it is not only a official language, but prices are much cheaper than other English-speaking destinations and the weather infinitely better.

-Remember that in Malta we use plug type G, which is the plug that has three rectangular pins in a triangular pattern (same ones used an in the UK). However, this should not be a problem as adapters will normally be provided in the accommodation.

-Malta is a very very safe country. We have one of the lowest crime rates (the lowest in the EU) in the world, so your trip should have no mishap.

-If you are traveling with children, Malta offers numerous options. In the CHILDREN section we offer our services, which includes finding them their own excursions while parents enjoy thiers. But you can also share them, since many of the visits for adults are very fun and outdoors (Valletta, Mdina, Gozo…), many of the visits for children are very recommended for adults (the village of Popeye, the aviation museum, the Bird Park…)

-Hundreds of movies and series have been shot here. In fact, there are those who call us the Hollywood of the Mediterranean. You may find films and series like “Game of Thrones”, “The Count of Monte Cristo”, “Gladiator”, “Troya”, “Agora”, “World War Z”, “Assassins Creed”, “The Da Vinci Cosigo”, “Murder on the Orient Express” and so on to more than 200 movies. So if the seventh art is your thing, you may be interested in a special tour of the locations where it has been filmed on our islands.
