A different way to visit one of the most popular points of the islands, changing the bus trip for a pleasant boat cruise.

Marsaxlokk is the traditional fishing village in Malta, where we can find the luzzus, traditional fishermen’s boats of Malta decorated in bright colors and protected from the storm by the mythical and colorful “Eye of Osiris” on its bow. And it is also well known for the local market that is organized every Sunday, where we are given the option to find the traditional flavors and smells of Malta with the essential souvenirs for all our loved ones.

What we offer you, since visiting Marsaxlokk is one of the things you should do, is that you do it in a different way: instead of taking a bus that takes you through traffic, you take a boat that takes you by the sea.

With the ship you will surround the east coast of Malta in its most showy area: we leave Sliema (in the port of Marsamxett) and surround Valletta, pass by Fort Rinella (where are the famous film studios of Malta where have been recorded, among many others, Gladiator or Game of Thrones) and the Bays of Marsascala and St Thomas (with its impressive fortified tower) among other points of interest and beauty , before reaching the port of Marsaxlokk, the second largest natural port on the island.

Once in Marsaxlokk you will enjoy two and a half hours of free time to walk around the village, shop at the market and eat fresh fish in any of the many restaurants in the area (we recommend going with reservation made). And above all: take hundreds of photos of the boats, the port, the products of the market…

At 14.30 we board again, but with one last visit by boat: instead of returning directly we make a small detour to see birzebbugia Bay, with Pretty Bay and Malta’s Free Port in the background.

So all you have left to do is digestion.
